Présentation

This atmospheric downtown building gives home to the INDA Gallery

Since 2006, the Inda Gallery has dealt with the works of contemporary artists as a for-profit gallery. The gallery unites the expectations of the trade of art and the aesthetic quality.

The exhibition room, located in the dynamically developing new quarter of the downtown pedestrian zone in Király Street, district VI, endeavours to be the home of quality, actuality and intellectual content. The exhibition program of the gallery, that was developed by a curatorial group of young, independent art historians (Brigitta Muladi, Gábor Rieder, and other occasionally invited art historians), serves these purposes. The exhibitions, introducing two to five artists, present the latest events and new tendencies of the modern scene by placing the pieces of art into a wider context.

On the market, the Inda Gallery, supported by the work of curators, is engaged in investment consulting, as well as the marketing, managing and popularization of contemporary classics, talented young painters, sculptors, graphic artists, and artists creating in the field of new media.

The Inda Gallery would like to win a broader audience for the cause of modern Hungarian art, either exhibition visitors or clients. In addition to the exhibitions and open atelier days, we organize regular art-talks, art-courses and free school for artists, art historians, connoisseurs and anyone interested. The Inda Gallery also begins and organizes international art exchange programs in order to contribute to the communication of Hungarian and foreign artists.

Thus, the double purpose of the Inda Gallery is to support the entrance of young, talented artists, and by using its contacts, to help their integration into the Hungarian and international artistic life and trade of art.

Our aim is to set up a complex functional structure that is suitable and compatible to the structure of similar galleries working in other European countries. In the first place, we would like to help widen the contacts of contemporary Hungarian artists. In addition to this, we would invite foreign exhibitioners to Budapest, whose presence may influence the Hungarian cultural and artistic life. The development of the international contacts of the gallery may also significantly promote the contacts of a segment of the contemporary Hungarian artistic life to the European Union in the long run.
