Val d'Off - inspiration Val d'Off has always been concerned by the universe of words and images from which she draws her inspiration. Implied in the virtual world that surrounds us, her work is based on the use of paper and typography (magazines, books, handwritings, digital supports printings) all mixed in her creations. While carefully structured, her works reveal an instinctive feeling of freedom with no limit. She uses colors as well as black & white (ink, pencils, acrylic, pastels) on papers torn to pieces and then restuck on canvases – she loves the depth coming out of this interesting patchwork. We can easily understand her love for photography through her canvases'framing, shadows & lights, like a frozen picture of an emotion, a movement, a moment of life. |
