Presentation of Anna Maria D`AVOSSA

Originally from Salerno, 14 years old she started to attend the class of Prof. Mario Avallone, founder of landscape painting.
From this period stems his Neapolitan mark, which will remain intact at all stages of his long artistic career, in a continuous evolution through various styles and inspirations.
1955 - She moves to Rome, she currently lives and works
1981-1985- Moved to Rome she attended the "School of Applied Arts" (painting, ceramics and sculpture) of the master Oliviero Leonardi, founder of the "futuribile".
1982 - She participated in the exposition of contemporary painting "Group of the Labyrinth", Villa Pamphili, Rome.
1983 - She also participated in the exposition of contemporary art at the Gallery Etruria Street Botteghelle of Salerno.
1985 - She exposed again at Villa Pamphili in Rome in the exhibition "In the sign of the future" Rome Creat., Via Aurelia Antica 289, Rome. Organized by her Master Oliviero Leonardi.
1986 - She attended the first school of nude at the "Academy of Fine Arts" in Rome.
1987 – 1989 - Then, she also attend the "School of Visual Arts" led by Prof. Ugo Boscaini. In these years of study she deepens the analysis of painting techniques for the expression of movement and volume.
1988 - She participated in Piglio (Siena), in the season exhibition "Roman Art". In this context, characterized by descriptive and figurative works, she was distinguished for being able to stimulate interest of purely abstract work inspired, both by the audience and among the other artists.
1990 - Getting in touch with the NGO V.I.S.E.S. (Volunteers for Economic and Social Development Initiatives), she developed an interest in ecological and environmental problems, proposing front cover of several publications produced by the organization. She collaborated with VISES for over ten years, temporarily lived in Madagascar, Mozambique and South Africa. African atmospheres are reflected in her works which were done during this period. They reveal an exotic print made of colours, lush and sensual forms, in a surrealistic and dreamlike frame.
1993 - She participated in the exhibition of Contemporary Art "The Castle is us", in the historical centre of Calcata (Italy).
1994 - She participated in the "International Exhibition of Art Puntoypsilon "at the YMCA hall in E.U.R. (Rome).
1995 - She participated in the exhibition "The Subtle Pleasure of Colour" at La Sala del Bramante in Piazza del Popolo (Rome).
1995 - She joined the travelling exhibition "The Way of the Arts" and stopped in Caserta, Pompeii, Capua, San Sebastian and Bacoli.
1996 - She has participated in the exhibition "International Modern Art" at Accademia of Romania, in the "Salone delle Esposizioni" (Rome).
